Your teeth naturally produce what’s known as plaque, Plague is a soft, sticky colourless substance that forms on your gums and teeth, it’s what gives your teeth that furry feeling. Sugar combines with plaque and forms an acid.
The acid is what eats away at your tooth enamel in turn creating cavities. You cannot prevent plaque from forming. Plaque is always one of the main causes for gum disease and also promotes bad breath. The best way to minimise the affects of plaque is to reduce your daily sugar intake and always remember to floss and brush in-between meals, Even better if you visit one of your local dentist for a routine teeth clean.
